There is no success mantra.

People think that “being” successful, wealthy and having a lot of friends is the route to happiness. There may be a temporary euphoria, just like sadness and anxiety give us emotional lows. Yet this is what gives meaning and purpose to most people in the world today. Seduction of power and wealth propel us and though we swell with pride we are broken inside. However as noted by Kagan- fear, well being, joy etc, are psychological concepts and it is important to relate them to the contexts in which they occur – as they mean the same thing across time and cultures. Happiness is forgotten as success becomes an end by itself and this pride is the cause of enmity and misery in life. Knowing is a sort of illumination in the craziness and timelessness of this world, yet this knowledge cannot be put into words or phrases. It is like the feeling of shame or despondency when one is unemployed. Thoughts send electrical surges through our mind when we think about a subject and we think we have understood our thoughts – but have we? In western philosophy the term “being” in itself is close to the term success but is this reality because our vague impression is a feeling based on a belief or a general inclusive concept. But you cannot grasp reality with a concept - it is like holding on to an empty area with your hands. We have to enter the actual state of being of non abstract notions. The self is not the opposite of anything, so do not cling on to notions or doctrines, because that itself is self-defeating. Success is a spiritual cancer that devours contentment, love and awareness of life’s simple joys.
